NXT Play Athletics was born out of a shared love for baseball and an unshakable bond between father and son. At just 13 years old, Johnny Gray, a young athlete with big dreams decided he wanted to create something that reflected his passion for the game—a clothing brand that celebrated the sport he loves while inspiring others to keep striving.

His father, a baseball enthusiast and rec ball coach, stood by his side. For years, he had coached his players with a simple yet powerful mantra: “Focus on the next play.” It was a reminder to leave mistakes behind, stay present, and never lose sight of what’s ahead. That philosophy became the foundation of their brand.

Together, they built NXT Play Athletics—a brand that’s more than just apparel. It’s a symbol of resilience, determination, and love for the game. Every piece is designed with the spirit of young athletes in mind, blending performance, style, and the values that make baseball and softball great.
